Muscle Melting Preview
A blend of the common "Pure Relaxation" approach and the Signature Muscle Melting Sessions. For those who have an area that they want focused work and extended attention to beyond the normal capability of the average therapist, but still want the overall full-body feel with all the warm-fuzzy-fluffy feel-good aspects of the day spa. Typically, focuses on melting through back and shoulder tension with overall relaxation work for the full body, but can be tailored to specific work on any muscle group.
Signature Muscle Melting
Not the Average Schmoe's Deep Tissue. A very educated, highly advanced approach to getting rid of long-term muscle tension and achieving permanent results. This technique is what I am most known for--my own modality developed over the course of a decade. Based in the concept of increasing circulation and opening the muscle tissue in such a way that knots and tension are melted away like an ice cube under warm water, rather than the inept approach of trying to force into long-term tension with sharp pressure and a disregard for comfort. If Deep Tissue hurts, they're doing it wrong. Come experience for yourself what a world-class Deep Tissue session feels like.
Warrior's Restoration
Designed specifically for high-level athletes or for those recovering from serious injury.* Incorporates Deep Release and Muscle Melting technique sets with Activated Range of Motion Stretches in a Neuromuscular Therapy approach to achieve release of chronic adhesions and damaged tissue, dramatic increase in range of motion, renewal of movement patterns, and proprioceptive reset. This is a much more interactive experience between the client and massage therapist--lots of communication, lots of "breathing through," and lots of intense work designed to restore what has been damaged by hard training or physical trauma in the field. Whether you stand behind a jersey or a badge, this work is designed to restore the parts of you that have taken a hit.
(*Injury may require integration with the work of a physical therapist or chiropractor and will require prior medical evaluation and written release.)
Safe Haven
The ultimate soft, gentle, nurturing session, designed to put your body and mind into a deep state of rest. This session is actually *not* targeted primarily to the muscle tissue, but to the Parasympathetic Nervous System. This type of work is especially valuable to those who have sustained significant physical trauma and are not yet physically ready for deep work (such as a high speed car crash) and are in the beginning stages of gently unlocking damaged muscle tissue; or who have experienced extreme emotional/psychological trauma and are in need of rebalancing the Nervous System--deactivating their 'Fight or Flight' response and coming instead into the system of 'Rest and Repose.' (For most people, although this is the most commonly known and advertized "spa" service, this is actually not the right session for them. The 'Muscle Melting Preview' is the recommended starting point for most people.)
*Please contact me specifically if this service is an interest. Rate discounts may be available depending on circumstances. This service is subject to therapist approval.
The Great Unseen
As humans, there is more to us than just the obvious. Our body produces heat, magnetic energy, frequencies. Our thoughts, psyche, and emotions guide the release and balance of chemicals in our body. Our beliefs about the future and our feelings about the past shape our posture and expectations for today. We are more than just the readily-visible pieces before us. Rooted in a combination of ideologies, this session channels energy from the therapist into the client to release stagnant negative energy, eliminate blockages in energy meridians, and impart positive healthy energy into the client, similar to a metaphysical blood transfusion. This type of work, known in part as Polarity Therapy and drawing from ancient theories of Chi Gong and Tai Chi, has been highly effective in eliminating migraines, reducing long-term pain, and balancing chronic depression. Especially appropriate for clients who are unable to receive common Western-theory bodywork, such as shortly following a miscarriage or surgery.
